While Priyanka Chopra turned heads at the 89th Academy Award in a classic structured white Ralph and Russo gown, there were these two Indian ‘Lions’ who wooed everyone with their loveliness. And we are talking about none other than Dev Patel and Sunny Pawar, the Indian-origin actor who won over millions of hearts with their terrific acting skills in ‘Lion’.
The film (Lion) was running in the league to sweep the gold award for the best film and Dev Patel was also nominated for the best supporting actor. However, Moonlight snatched away both the awards. But nothing could stop our Indian lions from courting warmth from everybody at the event.
Dev Patel was every Indian mumma’s boy today at the red carpet when he walked the Oscar’s aisle with his mother, firmly holding her hands throughout. His mother was dolled up in an elegant black sari and was a sheer delight to watch. She truly was a head-turner for Sari is a rarely spotted at Oscar awards. The global audiences went gaga over Dev Patel’s mother and her sari and stormed the internet over it.
By the way, Dev Patel looked dapper as hell in a classy white tuxedo paired up with black bow and pants. PS: His contagious and heartily smile has already killed me. *Oh you, Dev Patel*
The another lion, Sunny Pawar, the kid who played the role of young Saroo in Lion not only did make India proud but also made everybody go ‘awww’ with his charm. This Mumbai boy beat 2000 other kids to get the role, which he truly aced with perfection. Dressed up in black bow tie and quirky shoes, Sunny Pawar was purely confident. He took Hindi to Oscars and confidently answered all the answers in Hindi itself. He lived the dreams of millions and got clicked with biggest of Hollywood stars including Nicole Kidman.
Everyone wanted seemed wanting to get clicked with this highly talented little munchkin. Not only this, celebs went on to shower love for him even on internet.
Sunny is the cutest child perhaps on earth

Oh also, look at this blissful moment when Sunny was held up like Simba by an eminent TV host. While Sunny looks super excited, Dev Patel’s expression is just so purely adorable. (It just made my day).
