Akshay Kumar’s Gold and John Abraham’s Satyamev Jayate are releasing on Independence Day.  There’s no denying that Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar & John Abraham share a good bond with each other. But it looks like Akshay isn’t happy with his film releasing on the same day as John Abraham’s. We have seen the two on the screen together in Garam Masala, Desi Boyz and Housefull 2 but now, Gold and Satyameva Jayate are going to face a clash on August 15.

When John was asked about the clash, he said “Akshay is my good friend. We get along really well and we wish best for each other  to avoid a clash between the two films is T-Series and Excel Entertainment’s responsibility.”

However, when Akshay was asked about his views on the films’ clash, he sarcastically said: “It is true that he is my friend and I have learned that anyone can release their film with other actor’s film so, next time, I will also do the same.”

During the media launch of Gold, Akshay said: “We can release our film together on any occasion, be it, Eid, Diwali or Christmas as we all are friends”.

Speaking about much-talked about clash, John earlier told IANS “Akshay is an actor in Gold and I am an actor in Satyamev Jayate. It’s a producer’s decision from both sides. It is about Excel Entertainment and T-Series, so I have no say in that at all. As far as competing with Akshay is concerned, I want to make it clear that he is my senior in the industry. I love him and I have always wished the best for him and I am sure he also wants best for me,” he said.

He even took to Twitter, clearing the speculations about the rift between him & Akshay. “No truth to this,” he tweeted.

Gold is set in the 1940s and tells the historic story of India’s hockey team winning its first gold medal in Olympics as an independent nation. Gold also stars Amit Sadh and Mouni Roy and is directed by Reema Kagti. The film releases on August 15.

On the other hand, Satyameva Jayate is a vigilante action thriller film. Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, the movie also features Manoj Bajpayee and is scheduled to hit the screens on August 15.

Who do you think will emerge as a winner after the clash? John Abraham? Or Akshay Kumar?
