What started as a simple claim about an Instagram message quickly escalated into a viral debate online. The issue began when Taniya alleged that Chahal had messaged her on Instagram. She even showed the alleged messages to paparazzi, which led to widespread trolling and speculation.

However, as the situation gained traction, Taniya clarified her stance in an interview, insisting that the interaction was being blown out of proportion. Speaking about the incident, Tania described the message as completely harmless. According to her, Chahal simply complimented her by calling her cute, and their brief conversation revolved around cricket, particularly the Indian Premier League.

She emphasized that there was nothing inappropriate or controversial about the exchange and expressed respect for Chahal, calling him a hardworking athlete who represents India on a global stage. Despite her explanation, Taniya revealed that she has been the one facing backlash online. She questioned why a casual interaction was being turned into a major issue, stating that she had no intention of defaming the cricketer.

Taniya also clarified that the interaction dates back to 2023, when Chahal was already married. She pointed out that if she had any malicious intent, she would have raised the issue much earlier.

She added that she doesn’t have a PR team and only came across the message later, reinforcing her claim that there was no agenda behind bringing it up now. Addressing speculation about possible legal consequences, Taniya stated that her lawyers are currently handling the matter and have advised her to limit public statements. Still, she maintained that the message was genuine and reiterated that it was a sweet and respectful interaction.
