Jasmin Bhasin Slams Constant Marriage Questions With Aly Goni: ‘You’re Not Paying For The Wedding’

Television actor Jasmin Bhasin has had enough of the constant speculation surrounding her marriage to long-time boyfriend Aly Goni. Opening up in a recent interview, the actor said she is tired of repeatedly being asked when the couple plans to tie the knot, adding that their personal decision has become an unnecessary topic of public debate. She also criticised what she described as a “sadist mentality” among some people who continue to ask the same question despite receiving the same answer.

Jasmin and Aly first met during Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 before falling in love while appearing together on Bigg Boss 14. Since confirming their relationship in 2021, they have become one of television’s most popular celebrity couples. Their relationship has frequently been the subject of wedding rumours, with fans and the media regularly asking when they plan to get married.

Speaking to Pinkvilla, Jasmin made it clear that the decision to marry belongs solely to her and Aly. Expressing her frustration, she questioned why strangers were so invested in their personal lives.

“Mujhe lagta hai ki aapko kya lena-dena. Naa aapne catering ka bill bharna hai, naa aapne shaadi ka decoration karna hai,” she said, adding that people who are not contributing to the wedding have no reason to keep asking about it. She stressed that the couple would marry whenever they felt the time was right and urged people to focus on their own lives instead.

The actor went on to suggest that some people deliberately ask about the wedding because they believe it irritates the couple. According to Jasmin, repeatedly bringing up the topic reflects a “sadist mentality” rather than genuine curiosity.

She explained that she and Aly consciously choose not to discuss their marriage plans publicly because it is a private matter. However, she believes some individuals assume their silence indicates discomfort and continue asking the question simply to provoke a reaction. Jasmin also remarked that some people who are unhappy in their own relationships seem eager to see others experience similar problems.

The actor also expressed disappointment that her relationship often overshadows her professional achievements. She said both she and Aly have worked hard to build successful careers and would prefer conversations to revolve around their work rather than their personal lives. According to Jasmin, being recognised for acting projects is far more meaningful than constantly answering questions about marriage.

Jasmin’s comments come shortly after she completed filming for Khatron Ke Khiladi 15. The actor recently revealed that she also experienced a serious health scare around her birthday, saying she had to be rushed to hospital after delaying treatment despite severe inflammation. She has since recovered and returned to work.

Meanwhile, Aly is currently appearing in the reality show Alliance, where his entry as a wildcard contestant has drawn attention for changing the dynamics inside the house. Despite their busy schedules, the couple recently took another step in their relationship by moving in together, something they have described as an important milestone. They have consistently maintained that they are in no hurry to marry and want to enjoy the relationship at their own pace.

Jasmin’s remarks have struck a chord with many social media users, who praised her for setting boundaries around her personal life. Others echoed her sentiment that celebrities should not be expected to reveal every detail about their relationships simply because they are public figures.

For now, the actor has made her position clear: marriage will happen when she and Aly decide the time is right—not when public curiosity demands an answer. As speculation continues, Jasmin hopes the focus will shift away from wedding rumours and back to the work that both she and Aly continue to pursue.
