In a yet again move to promote North-Eastern India, Arunachal Pradesh government has decided to give a face to the state’s tourism. None other than our very own Rocky Handsome, John Abraham is chosen as the ambassador of Arunachal Pradesh Tourism.
A heaven for nature lovers, the seven states of Northeast India are probably the most unexplored destinations of India. Drenched in the abundance of diversity of flora-fauna and breath-taking landscapes, the states are capable to attract and increase tourists. John’s immense love for Northeast has always been prominent and in light through his support to the region. Apart from owning a northeast football team, Abraham participated in ‘Run for North East’, a marathon hosted in January this year. Truly fascinated and honored to be chosen to promote Arunachal Pradesh, John said, “I am honored to have been chosen to promote the tourism of Arunachal Pradesh. I have always been fascinated with northeast India: each state has its unique beauty, history and culture. It (Arunachal) is a state, rich with culture, mysticism, great people and stunning views. When I’m there, all I need is some music, my boots to walk around and a mind free from all worries to be able to embrace the mesmerising beauty of Arunachal Pradesh.” He also said that he is keen to shoot a film in the
Earlier, Priyanka Chopra was also in news as she was approached to be the face of Assam Tourism. However, the move took a controversial turn and got highly criticized, as it was rumored that she will charge Rs 1.5 crore per day for 10 days shoot. These reports were later denied.
Seems good days wait ahead for the Northeastern region of India, as the much awaited musical and ‘Magik-al’ film, Rock On 2 is also based in this region.
