Kangana’s “Thalaivi” All Set For Release
Controversial Multiple National Award-winning Bollywood actress, Kangana Ranaut’s most anticipated film of the year 2021, “Thalaivi” received its censor certification for Tamil release with a ‘U’ certificate. Kangana was overjoyed and took to her Instagram stories reacting to the certification for her film. She expressed her happiness that after Manikarnika and Queen, her new film primarily made in the Tamil language.” Thalaivi” would be available to view for children too while enjoying with parents and grandparents.
A biopic based on the late Tamilnadu chief minister Jayalalithaa, who was also a popular film actress in the Tamil film industry before she joined politics is a matter of curiosity not only amidst Tamil people but for audience across India. Along with it, it even marks the presence of “Roja” fame, actor Arvind Swamy who will be seen playing the role of MGR, mentor of Jayalalithaa and former Tamilnadu chief minister and popular Tamil film actor who was the founder of political party AIADMK. The film is directed by AL Vijay, produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh and Co-produced by Hitesh Thakkar and Thirumal Reddy. Thalaivi, is presented by Zee Studios, Vibri Motion pictures and Karma Media Entertainment, in association with Gothic Entertainment and Sprint films. The trilingual film will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Owing to the second wave of COVID 19, the film’s scheduled release on April 23, 2021, had to be delayed. The new release date is yet to be announced. The team of ‘Thalaivi’ had earlier shared, “As a team, we have sacrificed a lot in making this film and thank every member of the cast and crew who supported us in this challenging but remarkable journey. Since the film has been made in multiple languages, we would like to release if in all languages on the same day. But with an alarming rise in COVID-19 cases, subsequent precautions and lockdowns, even though our film is ready for release on 23rd April, we want to extend all the support towards the government rules and regulations and have decided to postpone the release of ‘Thalaivi’. Though we are deferring the release date, we are confident that we will receive as much love from you all then as well. Stay safe and looking forward to everyone’s support.”
Incidentally, months back, Kangana on the occasion of her birthday, surprised fans with the trailer of ‘Thalaivi.’ She also in an earlier series of tweets revealed that she has been getting secret calls and messages from many stars including Akshay Kumar, praising her work in Thalaivi. Now the eager film audience is waiting to see how Kangana Ranaut has pulled off the crucial role of Jayalalithaa, who was always a headlines puller in politics and life during her life span who even gained the attention till her hospitalization before her death. All eyes are on Kangana Ranaut’s “Thalaivi”.
