Kareena Kapoor gives an epic reply to the trollers who commented on her dressing sense!
The Bollywood fashionista, Kareena Kapoor Khan has been an inspiration to all the women out there. The way the actress has transformed post her maternity is commendable. From achieving the 0 sized figure in her early days of acting to her maternity stage and now again acing the hourglass-shape, the actress has shown quite a drastic transformation. And even today, there is no stopping as the actress can be seen religiously working on her body. She is often spotted outside the gym after her extensive workout sessions.
For the last few days, the actress had been keeping busy with the promotions of her comeback film, Veere Di Wedding. After looking at her sultry looks from the promotions, while some went ahead to appreciate her beauty and style sense, there were others who tried to put her down by trolling her over her outfit choices saying that she should dress like a mother.
Recently, in an interview with a leading tabloid, when Kareena was asked whether the constant criticisms bothered her, the actress said, “One should wear what they look good in. I don’t know what’s motherly dressing. My mom (Babita) wears modern clothes, she looks fabulous in jeans and a top. Have you seen my mother-in-law (Sharmila Tagore)? She looks gorgeous in a pair of jeans and a shirt, just as much as she does in a silk saree. I come from a world where women wear what they want to. Just because I have had a baby doesn’t mean I can’t wear a short dress. If you have the confidence and the body to pull off something, wear it by all means.”
Woah! That’s indeed an impressive answer.
But that’s not all! Kareena even mentioned how the gossip-mongers even scrutinized her when she was pregnant. “When I was pregnant, there was so much talk about me being up and about. People need to let women embrace the various phases of their lives,” she said.
Kareena further added, “Earlier, the mindset of Indian actresses was that they had to look 25, no matter what their age is. We don’t succumb to those pressures any more. Vidya Balan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Alia Bhatt are breaking these barriers. We won’t be rattled any longer by who is saying what.”
