You know so much about the actors and actresses you love, but do you know it all? Do you know about the times when our Bollywood actors and actresses went out of their way to help people in need? Of course, there is always the debate where we claim that charity is something that people just need to do if they earn a lot or the income tax officers would hunt them down but there are people who do much more than charity and it shows in the way they are conducting their good deeds. Here is a list of some of the kindest hearted Bollywood stars:
Salman Khan- When talking about charity, Salman’s name is always there. He is the one who started ‘Being Human’, a NGO for children and this NGO has really grown big now. This Ngo help underprivileged kids by providing them with support, healthcare and education. Along with this he also makes big donations for children as well as adults. He has made his own mistakes but he is also doing the necessary to redeem for them.
John Abraham- This amazing, hot actor seems even more tempting when you see him petting animals. John is a big animal lover and has been an active member of PETA and has helped them in various campaigns including the Jallikattu incident for which other stars namely, Sonakshi Sinha,Jacqueline Fernandez, Bipasha Basu, Raveena Tandon-Thadani, Vidyut Jammwal, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Kapil Sharma, Amy Jackson, Athiya Shetty, Sonu Sood, Richa Chadha, Vidya Balan, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan, all helped PETA. He is also a part of Habitat for Humanity, an annual Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project.
Priyanka Chopra and Amitabh Bachchan- In 2010, UNICEF made Priyanka their national ambassador to help children get proper education and Priyanka is active in her help. Amitabh Bachchan is involved with UNICEF’s Polio campaign. Both of them share a deep love for children and show their love adequately.
Rahul Bose- Other than making donations to organizations, he has his own organization which goes by the name of ‘World without Discrimination’ which helps people who have been treated inhumanely for a long time. He has helped to establish homes for the people of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, after a natural disaster and helps organizations like ‘Teach for India’ and ‘Spastics Society of India’.
Other people include Diya Mirza, Vidya Balan and Shabana Azmi who also have been generous with their donations and charities and have helped out when they can.
