Kriti Sanon turns a year older today. For Kriti birthdays are overrated, this year she rang in her pyjama party instead of a birthday bash. She kept it simple and is overjoyed on her birthday as her movie release was a success. As Arjun Patiala hits the screen, Kriti celebrates her 29th birthday. She feels happy and contented that her movie has received a positive response from the audience. All an actor wants is to get recognition for his or her work. Well, Kriti has got all praises  for her character.

Kriti unlikely holds onto other denomination. Her simplistic way and not being into extravaganzas is highly appreciated being a Bollywood star. “Last year, I threw my first filmibash on my birthday, but that was an exception. Dinesh Vijan’s (producer-director) birthday is a day before mine, so we celebrated it together. But I am more of a pyjama party person. I like to chill at home with close friends and family, rather than go clubbing,” Kriti says as she opens up about her birthday plans. She rings in her birthday with sissy, Nupur and Mukesh Chhabra. Her movie is receiving a positive response on theatres, it is the best birthday gift she could ever dream of. “I have told my family to not do anything, but I am aware that my sister (Nupur) and friends are planning some surprise for me, I think it’s a get-together,” Kriti added. After a long exhausting promotion and hustle-bustle for the Arjun Patiala release, friends and family time is a must.

On the work front, Kriti will next be seen in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat starring opposite to Arjun Kapoor and Farhad Samji’s Houseful 4 starring opposite to Akshay Kumar.
