Krushna Abhishek Messaged His ‘Rival’ Kapil Sharma After 5 Years, Here’s What He Said
Indian television’s two of the most famous comedians, Kapil Sharma and Krushna Abhishek’s rivalry has always been the talk of the town. It all started with Comedy Circus, a show which gave India many stand up comedians. When Kapil quit his popular show Comedy Nights With Kapil, Krushna joined it and the show was later renamed as Comedy Nights Live. Very often, Krushna was seen taking a dig at Kapil in the episodes. Kapil’s comeback show, Family Time With Kapil Sharma failed to make an impact with the viewers. His twitter war with a journalist in which he used derogatory language, for allegedly publishing fabricated news, left his fans shocked.
Due to circumstances, Kapil went from being the King of Comedy to a person battling issues on personal and professional front. His ill health and subsequent fall from stardom is the talk of the town. He is currently trying to get his life together. Amidst all this, his professional rival Krushna Abhishek supported Kapil Sharma. He told Hindustan Times that Kapil falling into depression has made him ‘really sad’. While talking to HT, the actor said that although he doesn’t consider himself as Kapil’s friend, he wants Kapil to remain healthy. He opened about how there are camps in the stand-up as well.
Krushna said, “Definitely, there are camps. When he was unwell, I was really sad. I don’t consider myself among his friends, but I want him to remain in good health. I messaged him after five years. I even told him that we can perform together if you want. He established comedians in the entertainment industry, got them respect.”
Regarding his competition with Kapil, Krushna told HT, “He left Comedy Circus and started his show, which clicked. He was suddenly in the limelight and we were doing Comedy Classes on Life OK. People started telling us that why don’t we do something similar. He is also a writer and that’s his strength. He was everywhere.” We also wanted to start a big show because of professional rivalry. We came on Colors and he immediately left it. Even Raj Nayak talked about it. Then Bharti and I took over his show. He went to Sony.“, he added.
Now, Krushna prefers being called as an actor rather than a stand-up comedian.
Apart from this, Krushna is also in the news for his public feud with uncle Govinda and his wife Sunita. Krushna’s wife, Kashmeera has been entangled in this family feud too.
On the professional front, Krushna is gearing up for his upcoming movie Teri Bhabhi Hai Pagle. It is directed by Vinod Tiwari and will hit the screens on July 13 2018. Along with Krushna, Rajneesh Duggal, Mukul Dev, Deepshikha Nagpal and Sunil Pal also play pivotal parts in the movie.
