Initial investigations revealed that the accused used a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to conceal his identity, masking the location of the device used to send the message. Despite the digital cover-up, Mumbai Police sources indicate that forensic analysis of the voice note strongly suggests the involvement of Harry Boxer, who is believed to be an active member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The voice sample has been sent for forensic examination, and officials are awaiting detailed confirmation. Investigators have reportedly traced the VPN connection to a location outside India. Given the international digital footprint, Mumbai Police are now seeking assistance from Interpol to track down the suspect. Security outside Ranveer Singh’s residence has been significantly increased.

A Mumbai Police official stated that the accused in both this case and another recent threat attempted to carefully conceal their identity using advanced digital tools. In a related development, actor Aayush Sharma, brother-in-law of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, allegedly received a threatening email on February 11. In Sharma’s case, the accused reportedly used Proton Mail to hide their digital trail.
