Being fat to fit is like a dream for many. Many people are tensed from their looks and their weight. And if you are a public figure, then you need to be careful about your body. Remember Ram Kapoor? From Rahul in Ghar Ek Mandir to Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, he never failed to make us fall in love with him.

Actors are often seen getting fat to fit and some transformations are just tremendous. And in this list Ram Kapoor has also put his name. But after this transition, the roles he was being offered also changed as the industry started stereotyping him in roles of older men. So, keeping such things in mind he realised the importance of being healthy and ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’ actor started working hard and slogging in the gym. Recently, Ram tweeted some pictures and captioned it as, “Work in Progress”.

Really motivating, isn’t it? Ram has truly proved that there is no age bar to look after your body. Ram has managed to show that hard work never fails to pay off. With zeal and enthusiasm, one can achieve anything in life. Sharing selfies of his undoubtedly sexier physique, actor looks complete hunk with a French beard and pepper-salt hair. Wife Gautami Kapoor just can’t stop adoring this new look of hubby and sharing her happiness she reposted the pictures of Ram’s ‘before and after’ fitness collage and captioned it in a very interesting way which can be read as, “Fat to fab!!!!!!! Ram has revealed about his ‘personal passion project’ in an interview with the Mumbai Mirror in which he stated why he hasn’t stepped in front of cameras in 2019. He has lost 30 kgs since he started gymming day and night. Actor shared, “I was 130 kgs when I started and I want to lose another 25–30 kgs.” Ram’s fitness journey started about two years ago when he decided that he wanted to be fit by the time he turned 45. But working around-the-clock made it difficult for him to start and stick to a weight loss regimen. Ram said, “I decided that if I wanted to do achieve my weight goals, I will have to take time off from work. It would need to be a substantial length of time — six months to a year.”

Actor said that his makeover is a result of two intense hours of working out every day. He remarked that, “As soon as I wake up in the morning, I do an hour of weight-lifting on an empty stomach. And, at night just before I sleep, I do cardio. I eat limited food during a period of eight hours. For the rest of the 16 hours, I don’t eat anything at all. I have given up dairy, oil, most carbs and sugar. I have given up normal food as I know it.”

According to Ram, toughest diet to skip is meat. Actor has been fulfilling his work commitments during these days and has mentally steeled him. He said, “I knew this journey is going to be tough.” For him, the challenge began with making health his number one priority. Ram continued, “It is a hard decision to stop work completely for such a long period. I have been an unhealthy man for the last 10 years of my career. I am grateful that my fans accepted me the way I was, and that I had a career. At some point, I had to decide to get healthier. Once I made that decision, my health became the priority and my career took a back seat, at least for the time being.”

Ram Kapoor realised that his new look will create a strong impact among audiences and on the future roles which would be further provided. He stated, “Both the audience and the industry had accepted and embraced how I used to look. Once I start looking fitter, I will have to reinvent myself as an actor and build a different image for myself. I will not be able to get the same kind of roles I was getting in the last decade. It’s probably going to be hard, but that’s what has gotten me really excited about this transformation.”
