Adding to the buzz, Mamta recently made a rare public appearance on the sets of Laughter Chef 3. This marks her return to the entertainment space after nearly 25 years, making her reappearance even more noteworthy. Her Goa videos have sparked mixed reactions online. Interestingly, some observant fans pointed out that she is still wearing a Rudraksha necklace, hinting at a continued spiritual connection. Earlier, Mamta Kulkarni had embraced a spiritual path, even adopting the name Shri Yamai Mamta Nandgiri. She had claimed that her journey into spirituality began around the year 2000 under the guidance of her guru. During her appearance at Mahakumbh, she was also conferred the title of Mahamandaleshwar, a significant position within Hindu spiritual orders.

She described her journey as one of intense meditation, discipline, and years of tapasya, stating that she had undergone multiple tests before receiving the title. In a later clarification, Mamta explained that adopting a spiritual life does not necessarily mean renouncing the material world completely. According to her, the Akhada she is associated with follows a Middle Path allowing individuals to balance spirituality with worldly life. This philosophy, she said, is the reason she returned to Mumbai after over two decades.
