Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav, who is currently lodged in Tihar Jail in connection with a long-running cheque bounce case, has received an outpouring of support from the film industry. The latest celebrity to extend financial help is singer Mika Singh, who has announced a donation of ₹11 lakh to support the comedian during this difficult phase. Rajpal Yadav recently surrendered before authorities after legal proceedings in a case linked to a reported ₹9 crore liability stemming from his 2010 film production venture “Aata Pata Lapata.”

The situation has deeply moved members of the entertainment fraternity. Mika Singh publicly expressed solidarity with Rajpal Yadav and urged others in the film industry to step forward. In a statement, Mika said, “Rajpal Yadav ji, I stand firmly with you in this difficult time. I am contributing 11 lakh rupees as a gesture of support and solidarity. You have brought smiles to the faces of millions, and today it is our turn to stand with you.”

Mika further said, “I urge everyone in the film industry to come forward and offer their support to the best of their ability. We are a family, and we should always stand united for our loved ones.” In a video message, Mika further appealed to actors, producers, and directors to contribute, “Superstar Rajpal Yadav is going through a very difficult time right now. We all know his situation. He is in dire need of money right now.”

He further requested, “I request all the actors, producers, directors, and superstars who have worked with him to support him. I am not asking you to donate 5 crore rupees. If even 20 of us announce 50 lakhs each, 25 lakhs each, or 11 lakhs each, we can help Rajpal Yadav. So don’t just post, don’t show off… Our industry is always there for each other, so please support.”

His appeal has sparked conversations across social media about unity within the film fraternity. Before surrendering, Rajpal Yadav reportedly became emotional and expressed his distress, saying, “What should I do? I have no money. I can’t see any other way out. Everyone here is alone, there are no friends. I have to get through this hardship myself.” His statement touched many in Bollywood, prompting several celebrities to offer help.
