Mira Rajput Reacts To Being Trolled For Her Acting Debut; Here’s What She Said

Actor Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput recently took her first step in the world of acting. After Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Mira made her acting debut with a TV commercial for an anti-ageing product. In the ad, Mira talks about how giving birth to daughter Misha Kapoor affected her routine and sleep.

The star might have made a confident debut, but many social media users were not happy with her performance. Mira Rajput got trolled for her first ad, and people slammed her for endorsing an anti-ageing beauty product at the age for 23. However,  the not-so-pleasant comments have not bothered Mira, who rather focus on all things positive.

In an interview with a media portal, when Mira was asked about being trolled for the ad, she said, “The internet is one platform that is accessible to everyone. People can say what they feel and it gives everyone the right to express themselves the way they want and to what extent they feel like. So, there will be opinions. It’s not that everyone is going to love you. I have always spoken for myself and I have never shied away from expressing what I truly feel.”

She added, “It’s not something new for me. Nowadays, people receive backlash for whatever they do or say. It is the way the internet is. At some level, it is a bit sad.”

Mira shared that she was quite nervous while shooting for the commercial. She said, “I won’t lie, I was very nervous because doing an ad was completely out of my comfort zone. But I think what put me at ease was the nature of the ad, which was very conversational with real experiences. It was something I have already been through. I felt that I was just talking about something that I have gone through myself and from my own point of view. The natural synergy put me at ease.”

Well before Mira, her brother-in-law, Ishaan Khatter too had commented over the same issue and shown his support to her. When the Dhadak actor was asked about it he had said, “There is a lot of frustration. There are a lot of people who are overtly judgemental on the internet. But having said that everyone has a right to opinion. For me, what’s important is to be inspired and keep moving to grow as an artist and as a person. I don’t find negativity helpful in that. So I try and keep myself away from it.”
