In her petition, the complainant has demanded that the probe be transferred from Khar Police Station to the Women’s Cell of the Crime Branch. She has alleged that the local police are not conducting a fair investigation and are deliberately protecting the accused. According to the complaint, the actor allegedly invited her to his residence in Khar under the pretext of discussing a professional project and then molested her.

The woman claims she had initially approached Khar Police Station, but is dissatisfied with the manner in which the investigation has been handled. Speaking to one of the media houses, the complainant’s lawyer, Ali Kashif Khan, raised serious concerns about the conduct of the investigating officers. He stated that a petition has already been filed before the Police Complaints Authority against the senior police inspector and the investigating officer involved in the case.

The lawyer claimed that the concerned police officers failed to appear during the last two hearings, terming it gross negligence. On these grounds, the complainant has requested the court to suspend the officers. He further alleged that despite the availability of call records, screenshots, and other digital evidence, the actor has not been arrested. According to the lawyer, inconsistent application of arrest procedures in similar cases raises questions about arbitrariness.

The petition also reportedly questions the accuracy of the charge sheet filed by the police. The complainant’s lawyer alleged that the charge sheet mentions that the accused was arrested and presented before the court, which he claims is incorrect. He further argued that although a summons was issued, the accused allegedly did not fully cooperate with the investigation or properly record his statement. These allegations form a key basis for seeking transfer of the case to the Crime Branch’s Women’s Cell.
