Actor Mouni Roy was seen losing her patience with paparazzi after they continued filming her even after she had entered her car following a dinner outing in Mumbai. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing the actor repeatedly asking photographers to stop recording her while her friend, actor and television host Anusha Dandekar, attempted to calm the situation.

The incident took place on Tuesday night when Mouni stepped out of a restaurant in Mumbai’s Bandra after spending time with Anusha Dandekar. Dressed in a sleeveless black outfit with a minimal, no-makeup look, Mouni initially walked towards her vehicle without reacting to the photographers gathered outside the venue. However, the situation changed after she got into her car and the cameras continued filming her through the window.

Videos circulating on social media show Mouni becoming visibly uncomfortable as photographers continued recording despite her entering the vehicle. She repeatedly told them, “Band karo” (Stop it), while gesturing towards them to end the filming. Even after her requests, several photographers continued pointing their cameras at her, prompting the actor to raise her voice and repeat her appeal multiple times.

Anusha Dandekar, who accompanied Mouni during the outing, was also seen intervening during the exchange. She gestured to the photographers to stop filming and appeared to reassure Mouni as the actor remained visibly upset. The two eventually left the venue after the vehicle drove away. Neither Mouni nor Anusha has issued a public statement about the incident following the circulation of the video.

The video has generated mixed reactions online. While several users supported Mouni’s response and argued that celebrities deserve privacy once they are inside their vehicles, others discussed the increasing competition among paparazzi to capture exclusive footage. Many social media users commented that filming someone inside a closed car after repeated requests to stop crossed personal boundaries.

The episode has once again brought attention to the growing conversation around celebrity privacy and paparazzi culture in India. In recent months, several actors have publicly objected to intrusive photography and continuous filming during public appearances. Celebrities have increasingly urged photographers to maintain professional boundaries and avoid invading their personal space after official photo opportunities have ended.

Mouni herself has spoken about the issue on previous occasions. Last year, she criticised sections of the paparazzi for focusing excessively on women’s bodies rather than photographing them respectfully. She had urged photographers to concentrate on faces instead of deliberately capturing uncomfortable angles and had called for greater sensitivity while covering female celebrities.

On the professional front, Mouni was recently seen in David Dhawan’s comedy film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, starring Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur. She also featured in the web series Ab Hoga Hisaab alongside Sanjay Kapoor, Shaheer Sheikh, Avinash Mishra, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Aasheema Vardaan.

The actor also has a busy slate of upcoming projects. She will next be seen in filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar’s The Wives, which also stars Shalini Passi and explores the lives and struggles of celebrity spouses. Mouni is also part of Chiranjeevi’s Telugu film Vishwambhara, where she is set to appear in a special dance number.

As the video continues to circulate across social media platforms, the incident has added to the ongoing debate over celebrity privacy and the conduct expected during interactions between public figures and the paparazzi. While Mouni has not commented further on the episode, her repeated request to stop filming has once again highlighted the conversation around personal boundaries during public appearances.
