Rumours about Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur dating have been circulating for quite some time, with a recent report even claiming they are planning to marry on Valentine’s Day, February 14. Amid the growing buzz, Mrunal, currently promoting her upcoming film Do Deewane Seher Mein alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi, scheduled to release on February 20, has finally addressed speculation about her alleged wedding to Dhanush.

Mrunal Thakur, Dhanush To Marry On Valentine’s Day?

In a chat with Galatta Plus, when the host questioned Mrunal about viral reports claiming she was set to marry on February 14, the actress quickly dismissed them. She admitted she had no clue how or where those rumours even started.

“No. I think 14th April is going to be the 1st April… 14th Feb is going to be the 1st April. April Fools’ Day. Because I don’t know who started… First of all, I’ve been quoted, but I never said anything. And they just said, ‘Mrunal stated so.’ I was like, ‘Wow, how beautiful. It’s scary.’” As Mrunal continued speaking, Siddhant Chaturvedi, seated next to her, appeared to struggle to contain his laughter.

How The Wedding Rumours Started

After Mrunal attended the wrap party of Dhanush’s film Tere Ishq Mein, speculation about their relationship began swirling across social media platforms. Pictures of the two from the celebration quickly went viral, prompting fans to wonder if something more was brewing between them. The buzz intensified when Dhanush appeared at the premiere of Mrunal’s film Son of Sardaar 2, where they warmly embraced, adding fuel to the rumours.

However, a source-based report by HT City dismissed the wedding claims entirely, clarifying that the news was baseless and purely speculative in nature, with no truth behind it, “She has a release scheduled for February, and then another Telugu film coming out in March. It doesn’t make sense for her to plan a wedding right in the middle of that.”

On the professional front, Mrunal has an exciting lineup ahead with films like Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Pooja Meri Jaan, and Dacoit: Love Story. Meanwhile, Dhanush is gearing up for his upcoming Tamil release Kara, along with another yet-to-be-titled project helmed by director Rajkumar Periasamy.
