Delhi drenched into the mixed vibes of patriotism and entertainment on last Sunday when Shaheed Bhagat Singh foundation and Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation organised Sadbhawna Diwas 2017. The colossal crowd at Yamuna Sports Complex couldn’t keep calm at the star-studded event where Punjabi singers Ashok Mastie and Sukh-E, Rapper Raftaar turned up to give enthralling performances. Adding to the fervor, the entire star cast of Mubarakan consisting of Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty too showed up to pay tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
The extravagant event was organised to celebrate 21 years of the NGO and its relentless humanitarian work. While Ashok Mastie infused patriotic zeal among audience with the song, “Dil dia hai jaan bhi denge, ae watan tere liye”.
Anil Kapoor too took the mic, held Indian national flag and sang “Mera rang de basanti chola”.
Rapper Raftaar grooved the audience with his peppy numbers like Dhaakad, Swag mera desi and more. The ‘Jaguar’ fame singer, Sukh-E then took hold of stage and performed his popular numbers. But the real enjoyment began when Punjabi sensation Ashok Mastie took over the stage and began his performance with Bhangra. Unlike others, he didn’t lip-sync but sang his heart out with live orchestra music. From Bollywood oldies to Sufi numbers to his own famous songs like ‘Glassy’ – he captivated the onlookers with his power packed performance.
All the celebs paid their tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh and the event ended with national anthem.
