Pregnancy is one of the most wonderful experiences of a woman’s life. Whereas, along with a wonderful feeling it also brings complications and for preventing those complications, a lot of care is needed. A pregnant lady needs to take care of herself every time. It is important to know about the sleeping positions as you need to be careful even if you are lying on bed simply. You may sometimes feel discomfort while sleeping due to many reasons like backache, less sleep, or problem in breathing. Which is why it is necessary to know about all the sleeping positions.
- Sleeping on sides: If you have a backache then try to sleep on any side. Also, don’t remain in the same position all night, keep changing your sides. Experts recommend lying on left side is the best position.
- Don’t sleep on your back or stomach: Sleeping on your back or stomach can be uncomfortable while pregnancy and is not suggested by experts. It can make you feel difficulty in breathing. Also, while lying on your back your belly may push down your intestine causing stomach problems.
- Keep a pillow between your legs and under your tummy: This will make you feel better and act as a support while sleeping. It may help you to stay in your position and prevent you from rolling on bed.
- Get a special pillow: If you want an extra support then get a special pregnancy pillow for yourself while sleeping. Pregnancy pillows are specially designed for this purpose and are best to be suited. Propping yourself with a lot of pillows is totally fine.
Just in case, if you are sitting on your bed while pregnancy, keep your back straight and shoulder back. Make sure you sit with a back support. And try not to sit in the same position for a long time.
