Naga Chaitanya Reveals Reason For Split From Samantha Ruth Prabhu: Deets Inside

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu were together for 4 long years. The couple’s divorce took their fans by shock. The rumours were earlier denied by the two but later they released a statement announcing their divorce. Naga Chaitanya maintained silence throughout the news of his and Samantha’s divorce. However, the star finally spoke up and revealed why the couple had no other choice but to part ways.

In a video going viral, we hear Chay talk about his choice of roles. The actor says, “I am game for all kinds of roles. However, those roles should not affect my family and our reputation. I will not accept roles that would embarrass my family members.” Fans are speculating that the actor referred to Samantha’s bold scenes in Family Man 2 with this statement.

Reportedly, Samantha had to be selective about her work engagements post her marriage with Naga Chaitanya. Samantha’s former in-laws were unhappy with her decision to continue doing movies that involved bold scenes or item numbers. If sources are to be believed, Nagarjuna, Chay, and Samantha sat down to talk about the latter’s bold scenes in Family Man 2. The Akkineni’s were unaware of Samantha’s scenes in the web series and felt the scenes tarnished their public image.

Fans Celebrate 4th Anniversary

The couple was planning to have a child and were completely in love before the problems started. Fans couldn’t stop gushing over their photos on social media. Samantha opened up in an interview earlier stating that she didn’t know she was this strong and that at one time she thought she would ‘crumble and die’ post her separation with Naga Chaitanya.

Chay and Samantha married in 2017 in Goa. The two worked together in several movies opposite each other.
