Namit Malhotra, An Indian Leadership Honoured With 7 Oscar Awards!

Hollywood movies are very much like in India. And the biggest reason for this is the excellent visual effects of Hollywood films. We Indians also believe that the Indian film industry is still far behind Hollywood in this technology and creativity. But the VFX studio which is considered the best for giving great special effects in Hollywood films belongs to an Indian.

Namit Malhotra, an Indian businessman and animation designer is the CEO of DENG. DENG is considered the best VFX & Animation studio in the world. DENG has been awarded the most Oscar Awards for VFX Effects. DENG has so far received 7 Oscar Awards, 8 BAFTA Awards and 12 Visual Effects Society Awards.

Namit Malhotra is the son of Bollywood filmmaker Naresh Malhotra and the grandson of famous Bollywood cinematographer M.N. Malhotra. His grandfather M.N. Malhotra did cinematography in India’s first colour film “Rani Laxmi Bai”. Namit Malhotra started his career with his two trainers by establishing a video studio in the garage of his house. Later he founded the company Prime Focus. And while working for Bollywood, he kept seeing possibilities for himself in the international market as well.

The company named Prime Focus World launched the Star Wars series, Wrath of the Titans; Transformers: Dark of the Moon; Shrek 2. In 2014, Namit establish a new company DENG through the merger of Hollywood VFX studio Double Negative in Prime Focus.
