It has been just a couple of days that Neha Dhupia officially announced about her much obvious pregnancy. Ever since she tied the knot with Angad Bedi three months ago, the rumours of her being pregnant have been doing the rounds. Initially, there were just baseless speculations owing to her sudden wedding. But after a few weeks, Neha looked more plump than usual and she had even started showing little. It also didn’t help that at every social event or public outing, Neha was always spotted wearing oversized outfits.
Both Neha and Angad were asked numerous times about Neha’s alleged pregnancy rumours, but they vehemently denied all speculations. The rumours refused to die down even after three months of their marriage. Until a couple of days ago, when Neha and Angad did a maternal photoshoot and officially announced the pregnancy. They took to social media and made the announcement.
Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi walked the ramp at the recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week 2018 where various fashion designers and artists exhibited their latest Festive/Winter Collection. Neha and Angad were showstoppers for designer Payal Singhal. They were looking no less than a royal couple in the wedding finery. The two were dressed in matching fabrics. Neha wore a lehenga in the off-white colour. It was heavily embroidered in blue, yellow and gold. Angad wore a matching front-open sherwani with a mint-green kurta inside and a quirky pair of bright blue loafers.
Neha is excited to welcome her first baby very soon. Talking about her pregnancy, she stated: “It’s amazing. I feel blessed that I am the chosen one actually giving life. A lot of people think that when you are in a situation, especially the one I’m in, there are lots of people who work and caution around you and it is wonderful to see that love and care. I represent a certain section of women who believe in working.”
She also added, “When I come out and work, I feel even better about it. As a couple, we don’t make a big deal out of anything which is also great. People are like ‘Oh my god. You should now go home and look after yourself’. They have been very supportive.”
“I respect women who are sitting at home and who are actually taking this time off. I respect that too. But I also stand for the fact that ‘I want absolutely no time off’. If I can do six things otherwise, then it is a small little thing that I’m doing. If I am strong enough to do that then there is nothing that will pull me back,” she further added.
Angad, too, is ecstatic to become a father. He praised his wife Neha for her strength. “There are many firsts this year. We got married and now we are having a baby. It is a very enriching experience for me to be married to such a strong girl. I feel the credit should not be given to her. It should be given to her mother who has raised her and she talks about her very highly.
“Her father has been an officer and her mother is an extremely hard working woman. All the good ingredients she has imbibed from them. I am proud of her. The confidence she has is very appealing. Not just to walk the ramp but to come out and speak about the situation is very positive,” he said.
