Nora Fatehi once revealed that she got into a physical altercation with a co-star after he allegedly misbehaved with her during the filming of her debut movie, Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans. The actor and dancer recalled the incident in an earlier interview, saying the confrontation escalated into both of them slapping and pulling each other’s hair before the crew intervened. The old clip has resurfaced online and is once again attracting attention.
Speaking on The Kapil Sharma Show, Nora recounted that the incident took place while the team was shooting in the forests of Bangladesh for the 2014 film. According to the actor, a disagreement with one of her co-stars quickly turned ugly after he allegedly behaved inappropriately with her.
“I slapped him. Then he slapped me back,” Nora recalled, explaining that she reacted after feeling disrespected on set. She said she did not back down after being hit and slapped him again, which further intensified the confrontation.
Describing the sequence of events, Nora said the co-star then grabbed her by the hair, prompting her to retaliate in the same manner. “Fir maine uske baal kheench liye (Then I pulled his hair),” she said, adding that the two got into a full-fledged fight before others stepped in to separate them.
The actor joked that the altercation resembled a wrestling match rather than a disagreement between colleagues. She also recalled that the director and other members of the crew had to intervene to calm the situation before filming could resume. Despite the tense incident, the production eventually continued as scheduled.
Although Nora narrated the episode with humour during the television appearance, she maintained that she had reacted because of the alleged misconduct. She did not reveal the identity of the co-star involved, and the individual has never publicly responded to her account of the incident. As a result, the allegations remain one-sided and unverified.
Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans marked Nora’s Bollywood debut in 2014. While the film did not perform well commercially, it paved the way for her career in the Indian entertainment industry. Over the years, she gradually established herself through special dance numbers before expanding into acting, music and international collaborations.
Today, Nora is among the most recognisable performers in Indian cinema, known for chartbusters such as Dilbar, Kamariya, Garmi and Manike. Apart from films, she has also served as a judge on dance reality shows and has worked on several international music projects.
In recent months, Nora has been in the news for a variety of reasons, including clarifying that her earlier remarks on feminism had been taken out of context and addressing the controversy surrounding the Hindi version of the song Sarke Chunar. She has repeatedly stated that her comments and creative work should be viewed in their complete context rather than through selectively edited clips.
