Olivia Rodrigo Says “We Hate You” To The Supreme Court Decision On Abortion Rights

Olivia Rodrigo partnered with Lily Allen for her recent Glastonbury festival performance, dedicating a song to the US Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v Wade, which protected abortion rights. In response, Rodrigo stated, “I’m devastated and terrified that so many women and so many girls are going to die because of this.”

She also expressed her shock and disgust at the decision., Olivia further added, “I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five members of the Supreme Court who have shown us that at the end of the day, they truly don’t give a s**t about freedom. This song goes out to the justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, and Brett Kavanaugh. We hate you.”

Olivia invited Lily Allen onto the stage to perform F**k You, the latter’s popular song. Before inviting Allen on stage, the Driver’s License singer introduced her, saying, “I think she’s the most incredible songwriter, artist, and person, and I’m so lucky that she’s here singing with me today,” according to Billboard.

The two sang Allen’s 2009 single ‘F– You’ from her It’s Not Me, It’s You album.

Olivia has joined a slew of other musicians, including Taylor Swift, in condemning the US Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the protection of women’s reproductive rights. Swift expressed her outrage on social media, writing that she is “terrified” that after decades of people fighting for women’s rights to their bodies, the recent court ruling has stripped them of it.
