‘Please Release All Criminals’, Hina Khan Takes Another Swipe at Shilpa Shinde Amid False Harassment Case Controversy

The ongoing controversy surrounding actress Shilpa Shinde’s shocking admission about filing a false sexual harassment case has now escalated into a public war of words with actress Hina Khan. Although neither actress has directly named the other, their social media posts have made it clear that tensions between them continue to rise. The controversy began after Shilpa Shinde revealed that the sexual harassment allegations she had made against Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! producer Sanjay Kohli years ago were false.

Hina Khan Took Another Dig

Among the celebrities who reacted strongly was Hina Khan. Calling the situation “shameful,” Hina expressed concern over the damage false allegations can cause, not only to the accused but also to genuine victims who struggle to be believed. The situation took a personal turn when Shilpa appeared to respond to Hina’s criticism through a social media video. Without naming her, Shilpa mocked the actress and suggested she should seek attention through her own personal struggles rather than using Shilpa’s name.

Now Hina took another dig at Shilpa and said, “I cannot believe that women are supporting such an absurd and vile act simply because someone they admire has admitted to it. This is a crime”. She questioned what could have happened if the accused person had suffered severe emotional consequences, adding that such actions harm the credibility of women everywhere. Addressing online trolls who targeted her for speaking out, Hina stated that feminism is about equality and accountability. She emphasized that women must speak against wrongdoing regardless of who commits it.

“And for God’s sake, forget Bigg Boss. Nine years have passed. This isn’t about Hina versus anyone. I haven’t spoken about her since the show ended, and I have no interest in doing so,” she wrote. Hina also highlighted the broader impact of the controversy on genuine survivors of harassment. According to her, admissions of false accusations make it harder for real victims to seek justice and give skeptics another reason to dismiss legitimate complaints. She argued that such incidents weaken movements like #MeToo and contribute to harmful stereotypes about women misusing laws for personal gain.

Hina further said that women who fabricate allegations ultimately silence those who genuinely need support and protection. In one of her strongest remarks, Hina sarcastically addressed the country’s top leadership, writing, “Honourable Prime Minister, Honourable President, and Honourable Law Minister, please release all criminals who confessed to their crimes after committing them. After all, they told the truth later.”
