Post her engagement with Nick Jonas last week, Priyanka Chopra is in Mumbai these days. The actress is currently shooting for her upcoming Bollywood flick ‘The Sky Is Pink’ which also stars Zaira Wasim and Farhan Akhtar in lead roles. Last night, she took out some time from her busy schedule and stepped out with her mum Madhu Chopra for dinner at plush Mumbai restaurant Bastian. It was her father late Ashok Chopra’s birthday and to celebrate and remember his fond memories, the mother-daughter duo had a little party of their own.
At the same restaurant, ‘Dhadak’ star Janhvi Kapoor was having dinner with her friends and director Shashank Khaitan. Janhvi met Priyanka and her mother and she also clicked a lovely picture of them cutting a cake. Priyanka later posted that picture on her Instagram story and tagged Janhvi.
Priyanka was looking stylish as ever in a white t-shirt and a chic white sheer jacket. She wore blue flared denim along with it. She accessorised her look with black heels and black sling bag. Janhvi, on the other hand, donned a desi girl avatar. She was spotted in a black kurta and trousers. She paired a matching black dupatta along with her kurta. With oxidised silver earrings and nude sling bag, she looked pretty as always. After having dinner, Priyanka and Janhvi left the restaurant together. Priyanka walked Janhvi to her car and even hugged the young actress before bidding goodbye. Is this the start of a new friendship?
Priyanka recently got engaged to beau Nick Jonas on 18 August, last week. He came to India along with his parents and the two exchanged rings after an intimate roka ceremony. On the work front, Priyanka is currently shooting for ‘The Sky Is Pink’ which is directed by Shonali Bose.
Janhvi had made her acting debut last month in Karan Johar’s ‘Dhadak’, directed by Shashank Khaitan. She has signed another film with Dharma Productions. She will be a part of the ensemble cast of ‘Takht’ which is touted as a historical magnum opus based on the Mughal Dynasty. Karan Johar will be donning the director’s cap for this multi-starrer film after two years. ‘Takht’ will also star Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky Kaushal.
