R Madhavan Slams Wellness Brand for Allegedly Misusing His Interview Clip, Says Legal Action Has Been Initiated

Bollywood actor R Madhavan has publicly criticized a wellness brand for allegedly using a clip from one of his interviews without his consent to promote its products. The actor expressed strong displeasure over the matter on social media, accusing the company of misleading the public into believing that he personally endorsed the brand. The controversy erupted after R Madhavan shared a screenshot on Instagram featuring a promotional video created by the wellness company.

The post reportedly used excerpts from one of Madhavan’s interviews in a way that suggested he was recommending or praising the brand’s product. Calling the practice unethical, the actor clarified that he had never granted permission for his interview footage to be used in promotional material. In his statement, Madhavan wrote, “This video has been crafted in such a way as to suggest that I am personally endorsing this product. No permission whatsoever was sought from me, and my interview was directly repurposed as promotional material.”

He further criticized the company’s actions, saying that such misleading promotional tactics damage public trust and make it increasingly difficult for audiences to differentiate between authentic endorsements and manipulated content. The actor added, “Such unethical practices erode public trust, leaving people unable to distinguish between what is genuine and what is not. It is shameful.”

R Madhavan also shared a longer caption alongside the post, strongly condemning companies that allegedly misuse public figures’ interviews and statements for commercial purposes. He stated, “It is deeply regrettable and shameful that certain individuals and companies believe they can simply lift excerpts from someone’s interview and utilize them for their own promotional gain.”

The Dhurandhar actor further confirmed that legal action has already been initiated against the company involved. “A legal notice has already been issued in this matter,” Madhavan revealed in his post. Additionally, the actor urged social media users and consumers to remain cautious about misleading advertisements and promotional campaigns, especially those related to wellness and weight-loss products.
