Raju Srivastava Death: Kapil Sharma Pens Heartfelt Tribute To Veteran Comedian
During his time on the stage, Raju made hundreds and thousands of people laugh. He is seen as the artist that paved the way for other artists. Almost every comedian is inspired and affected by Raju in some way or the other. Raju Srivastava was born into a middle-class family. He was born in 1963 a time when people didn’t use to allow their kids to follow passion let alone comedy. Raju acted as a breakthrough artist who gave comedians a platform. Not only did he make stand-up comedy famous but also gave comedic characters in films importance.
He is best known for his mimicry and the on-stage character he created namely “Gajodhar Bhaiya”. He and his character got national recognition through the show “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge”. His characters and a slice-of-life comedy will remain evergreen in the hearts of people. His sad demise took place after a month of him spending in the hospital. The comedian was on a treadmill when he complained of chest pain after which necessary tests and procedures were underway.
Sadly after weeks of fighting, the legendary comedian passed away on the 21st of September. As per the reports Raju was in a very bad condition for the past few weeks and was on a ventilator for a long time. As mentioned he was a figure that modern-day comedians looked up to when they were starting their careers. One of the most famous comedians in our country Kapil Sharma is no different.
Kapil Sharma was inspired by the legend greatly and even worked with the latter on multiple occasions. Sharing a picture from one such collaboration they had, Kapil posted an old photo of Raju and him from the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show. He captioned the post “You have made me cry for the first time Raju bhai, I wish if could meet you for one last time. May God bless you. You will be remembered a lot. Goodbye, Om shanti.”
Shekhar Suman who is no stranger to the comedy world also wrote some words for the deceased. Shekhar was also an integral part of the show “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge” where he met Raju Srivastava. He wrote “Wat I was dreading for the past one month has happened. Raju Srivastava has left all of us for his heavenly abode. Devastated to hear the news. May God grant him eternal peace.#OmShanti”
Many other celebrities paid their tributes and the fans who are shocked by the demise have flooded with wishes for the heavenly abode of the comedian saying that he was a once-in-a-lifetime artist.
