Rani Mukherjee Watches DDLJ’s Broadway Adaptation; Gets Clicked With New Raj & Simran

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) which was released on October 20, 1995, is considered one of the most iconic films in Bollywood. It captured the hearts of millions of fans all over the globe. Some fans even claim that DDLJ is the reason why Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are such big stars today. The film was a love story that revolved around both the actor’s characters named Raj and Simran respectively. The Broadway musical will adapt the storyline of the film and give its unique touch as it will revolve around the story of an Indian girl Simran and an American boy Roger.

Rani Mukherjee who herself is a critically acclaimed actress saw the show recently. Rani has worked with both SRK and Kajol on multiple occasions, most famously in the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and K3G. Aditya Chopra, husband of Rani Mukherjee is the one who made this musical show possible. He announced the show in October 2021, which is titled “Come Fall In Love.”

The official opening of the show will take place on the 14th of September in San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre. As told earlier Rani was present to watch the show earlier, and the actors playing Raj and Simran posted pictures with the new Rani on their social media accounts with heartfelt captions. The role of Simran in the musical will be played by Shobha Narayan and Roger, the American boy will be played by Austin Colby. Shobha posted multiple pictures and selfies on Instagram posts and stories indicating her excitement while Austin posted a single but cute photo with the veteran actress.

Shobha posted the picture with the caption  “Thank you Rani for your words. So thrilling to have you in our audience last night (two hearts and smiling face with hearts emojis) #comefallinlove #ddlj @yrf.” Reacting to the pictures, fans commented, “Rani looking beautiful and lovely.” “Oh my goodness, incredible.” In her stories, Shobha posed with Rani in multiple photos and wrote “Back for round 2 of Come Fall in Love (red heart emoji).”

Meanwhile Austin Colby while sharing his photo on social media wrote “Thank you for your warm words of encouragement, Rani Mukerji!
