Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh visited Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja on Thursday to seek blessings ahead of becoming a father for the second time. His wife, Deepika Padukone, is reportedly expecting their second child and is due to welcome the baby in September, according to reports. The couple already have a daughter, Dua, together. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are expecting their second child, with the actress reportedly due this month. Ahead of the baby’s arrival, the dad-to-be sought blessings at Mumbai’s revered Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati pandal. On the fourth day of Ganeshotsav, Ranveer offered prayers to the Lord of wisdom and prosperity.
Amid tight security, the actor visited Lalbaugcha Raja and spent a few moments praying to Bappa. Meanwhile, Deepika is in Bengaluru for her second delivery. Their firstborn, Dua Padukone Singh, is currently with her mother and maternal grandparents as the family prepares to welcome their newest member soon.

Dressed in white, Ranveer Singh visited Lalbaugcha Raja on Thursday evening and offered prayers to Lord Ganpati, seeking blessings for the new chapter in his life. Before leaving, the actor made sure to acknowledge his waiting fans. He shook hands with those who reached out to him and happily posed for pictures with several fans, making the special visit memorable for them as well. Ranveer and Deepika, devoted Ganesha followers, visited Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple to seek blessings before daughter Dua’s birth in 2024. Dua was born just two days after their visit to the temple.

Ranveer Singh begins shooting for Pralay
Before Deepika’s due date, Ranveer began shooting for Pralay in Mumbai. His last release, Dhurandhar, was a blockbuster. Earlier, the film was scheduled to go on floors in Australia, but the location was later shifted to Mumbai. Ranveer, who is set to welcome his second child with Deepika, reportedly wanted to remain close to her during this important phase. Additionally, the makers faced difficulties in obtaining permissions for certain Australian locations. Directed by Jai Mehta, Pralay also features Kalyani Priyadarshan in a pivotal role.
Ranveer is producing Pralay under his home banner, Maa Kasam Films, marking the production house’s first film. The project is described as a high-concept, post-apocalyptic zombie horror thriller. The film is currently expected to arrive in theatres in late 2027 or early 2028, adding another ambitious project to Ranveer’s lineup.
Deepika Padukone’s upcoming projects
Deepika Padukone wrapped up the shoot of Raaka with Allu Arjun before taking a break. During her maternity leave, reports suggested that she would return to work with Brahmastra Part Two: Dev, playing Ranbir Kapoor’s mother, Amrita. Deepika had a cameo in the first instalment. However, a source later clarified that she is not associated with Brahmastra 2. Currently, Padukone has two major projects, Raaka, directed by Atlee, and King, starring Shah Rukh Khan. King is scheduled for release in December 2026.
