After content creator Kusha Kapila and actress Malti Chahar voiced their concerns, television actress Rashami Desai, Bigg Boss 17 fame Ayesha Khan, and Sutapa Sikdar, wife of the late actor Irrfan Khan, have now joined the chorus of criticism. The controversy originated during one of Pranit More’s performances in Gurugram, where he interacted with a 23-year-old audience member identified as Himanshu Jangra.

During the exchange, Himanshu recounted going on a date with a woman and spending ₹370 on a plate of chicken biryani. He then made remarks suggesting that he expected a return on that expense, implying a sense of entitlement over the woman he had taken out. According to the viral clip, Himanshu further described insisting that the woman accompany him to a park despite her hesitation.

As he narrated the incident, members of the audience laughed, while Pranit More, who was conducting the crowd-work segment, reacted by calling it Peak Gurgaon content. The comedian later shared the clip online, triggering widespread outrage. Television actress Rashami Desai did not hold back while reacting to the viral video and said, “This isn’t comedy. It’s just a casual conversation with no real content. When people lack content or creativity, they resort to saying things like this”.
Ayesha Khan
In her Instagram Story, Ayesha said she was disturbed not only by Himanshu’s comments but also by the laughter they generated. “It is terrifying to see the way every man in the room is laughing. The way the host is laughing, and the fact that this reel must have been thought through before being posted, yet it was posted anyway, is truly frightening,” she wrote. Sutapa Sikdar, the wife of the late actor Irrfan Khan wrote, “Should one forgive? Always? Why? An apology?? After acting like a clown to garner laughs from other twisted minds in the audience?”
