The Mumbai Caste Verification Panel has asked NCB Officer Sameer Wankhede to appear before the panel on December 14 at 3 pm. Bhim Army Leader, Ashok Kamble filed a complaint against Wankhede. More Trouble For Wankhede!

Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik and NCB Officer Sameer Wankhede’s infamous verbal war has been a controversial one. Earlier, Nawab Malik alleged that Wankhede was born a Muslim but presented himself as SC to get a government job. Besides this, more trouble has surrounded Sameer Wankhede’s life. The Excise Department has ordered a probe into the restaurant and bar in Mumbai which is allegedly owned by Wankhede.

Sameer Wankhede’s father and wife have been actively speaking up against Nawab Malik and other activists who have levelled allegations against Wankhede. Dnyandev Wankhede, a father of Sameer Wankhede, filed a defamation case against Maha Minister Nawab Malik. In another twist, Malik alleged that Wankhede framed his ex-wife’s cousin by planting drugs. Malik continued to allege saying that Wankhede feared that his ex-wife may speak up against him and hence threatened her family and framed her cousin.

However, Sameer Wankhede has maintained his decorum and chosen to answer back calmly. Wankhede’s lawyer, Arshad Shaikh said in the court on behalf of Wankhede–“Call me anything but Dawood”. Wankhede submitted his birth and caste certificates to the court. Wankhede’s wife spoke up in support of her husband on multiple occasions and even wrote a letter to the CM citing examples of Balasaheb Thackrey and seeking justice.

Sameer Wankhede, who is often referred to as the Singham of Mumbai, has led various high-profile anti-drug cases. He rose to fame while investigating the late star Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. Wankhede recently led the Mumbai Cordelia Cruise Drug Raid which involved Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. However, Wankhede no more leads the cruise case and stepped away post allegations of extortion from various parties.
