Sanjay Dutt Gave The Best Compliment To Vicky Kaushal After Watching Sanju

Sanjay Dutt watched his biopic Sanju and needless to mention, he loved it. So much so that he broke down after watching the movie. The man the entire nation loved as much as Ranbir Kapoor in the movie, is Vicky Kaushal. Vicky played the role of Sanjay Dutt’s best friend, Kamlesh Kanhaiyalal Kapasi aka Kamli, who stood by Sanjay through thick and thin. From drug addiction to jail terms, he was always right next to him. His role made the audience cry and fall in love with him. He definitely stole the show in Sanju.

After receiving several compliments for his performance in the movie, Vicky, in an interview with a media portal said that the best compliment came from the man himself, Sanjay Dutt. After watching Sanju, Dutt told Vicky Kaushal: “I got really emotional with your performance. You have truly portrayed the meaning of friendship, and your act is accurate when I think of the friends I have had. Puttar, tune dil jeet liya (Son, you have won my heart),” the media portal reported.

Well, it’s the best compliment one can receive. Isn’t it?

Of his comparison with Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky said: “Ranbir is one of the most secure actors that one can come across, and that is even evident in his body of work. What he did in Sanju is unbelievable. His honesty towards the craft could be seen in his performance. I don’t think we can be compared.”

For Vicky Kaushal, 2018 is proving to be a good year. His two Bollywood releases, Raazi and Sanju have done extremely well at the box office. The actor was also part of two Netflix film Love Per Square Feet and Lust Stories, which have been receiving great appreciation. Vicky is currently busy shooting for his next film Uri in Serbia and hence, he is unable to attend Sanju’s post success bash. “I am missing out on celebrating the success with the entire team in Mumbai. However, I’m overwhelmed by the reaction that the film has received. Being a part of a Rajkumar Hirani film was a dream come true,” Vicky Kaushal said.

Sanju is based on the controversial life of Sanjay Dutt. Ranbir Kapoor essays the role of Sanjay Dutt in the movie and Paresh Rawal plays the role of Sanjay Dutt’s father, Sunil Dutt. The movie is currently plundering at the box office. It has collected Rs 265.48 crore within just 10 days of its release. It also has an ensemble cast of Manisha Koirala, Jim Sarbh, Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in a special appearance.
