Actor Shahid Kapoor’s step-sister Sanah Kapur, who made her Bollywood debut with the Kapoor and Alia Bhatt-starrer Shaandaar, is set to star in Abhishek Saxena’s upcoming romantic comedy, Saroj Ka Rishta.
As per a report in the Mumbai Mirror, the film manages the issue of body shaming in India. Chief Abhishek Saxena said that as a fat individual, “I have noticed that body-shaming doesn’t happen only with those who are on the heavier side, but also with thin people. The idea germinated from there”
Sanah Kapur, who will play the part of the role Saroj will begin shooting for the romantic comedy in August in Ghaziabad and Mawana.
Saroj Ka Rishta basically spins around a dad-girl association with Kumud Mishra and Kapur in the number one spot. A love triangle with the two legends Gaurav Pandey and Randeep Rai is likewise a piece of Deepak Kapoor Bhardwaj’s script.
Sanah, who depicts the character of an overweight bride in Vikas Bahl’s Shaandaar, had said that one reason she took up the film was to express her supposition on the issue.
Standing up firmly against body-shaming, Pankaj Kapoor and Supriya Phatak’s girl said in a meeting with Indo-Asian News Service, “We all have different body types and no one has the right to shame or humiliate the other person based on appearance. It affects our confidence.”
After Shaandaar, which was a film industry disappointment, the actor enjoyed a break from the business for over two years and allegedly focused on theatre.
In May 2018, she showed up in performer Harsh Chhaya’s directorial make a big appearance, Khajoor Pe Atke, sharing screen space with Manoj Pahwa and Vinay Pathak. The drama rotates around the gathering of siblings, nephews and nieces in a doctor’s facility holding up room following the news of a sibling’s delicate well being.
