The award ceremony took place at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, where President of India Mrs. Draupadi Murmu honored Shah Rukh Khan with a medal, a certificate, and a cash prize of ₹1 lakh. Although the actor was initially supposed to receive ₹2 lakh as prize money, he shared the prize money with Vikrant Massey, who won the National Award for his successful film “12th Fail.”
