Shilpa Shinde has once again found herself at the center of controversy. After previously admitting that she had filed a false sexual harassment complaint against the producer of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, the actress has now defended her actions on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Saza Season 2, saying she used the system as a strategy to secure justice. During a conversation with fellow contestants Yogesh Rawat and Riyaz Aly on the reality show, the topic of her past legal battle resurfaced, leading to a heated debate.

Shilpa Shinde Said She Used Law

Responding to criticism over the case, Shilpa said she adopted every possible strategy to fight for herself. “I used Saam, Daam, Dand, Bhed. I didn’t misuse the law; I utilized it. If you say I twisted the law for my benefit, then you are the same people who light candles after a woman’s death and complain that she didn’t fight for her rights,” she said. Yogesh Rawat, who claimed to have experienced a similar situation, disagreed with Shilpa’s stance. Riyaz Aly also pointed out that false allegations can destroy a person’s life, triggering a tense argument between the contestants.

Shilpa also spoke about producer Sanjay Kohli, against whom she had filed the complaint in 2016. “He treats me well now. After nine years, he practically begged me to return to the show. Why would he do that?” she asked. When Yogesh continued to oppose her views, Shilpa responded sharply, saying, “You are still a child. You’ll understand only when something like this happens to you.”

The controversy dates back to 2016 when Shilpa Shinde accused Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! producer Sanjay Kohli of sexual harassment and filed a police complaint. At the time, the production house accused the actress of being unprofessional, while Shilpa alleged that she had not been paid her dues and had faced harassment and a toxic work environment on the set. However, months ago, during a podcast hosted by Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Shilpa made a startling admission, claiming the sexual harassment case had been fabricated and that filing it helped her recover her pending payments.

Her statement sparked widespread outrage, with a men’s rights NGO demanding legal action against the actress for allegedly admitting to filing a false complaint. Shilpa’s latest remarks on Lock Upp 2 have once again reignited the debate on the misuse of legal provisions, accountability, and the impact of false allegations. While some viewers argue that she was highlighting the struggles women face in seeking justice, others believe her comments undermine genuine cases of harassment and could discourage real victims from coming forward.
