Shocking: Amrita Singh bursts over Saif Ali Khan for his comments on daughter Sara’s Bollywood debut!

Sara Ali Khan’s debut is taking new dramatic turns everyday and is grabbing headlines from quite a long time now. Earlier it was being reported that she will step into Bollywood under Karan Johar’s Dharma Production. But soon the rumours proved false when it was confirmed that Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter will mark her acting debut with Abhishek Kapoor’sKedarnathopposite Sushant Singh Rajput.

In a recent interview, when Saif Ali Khan was asked about Sara’s yet-to-begin Bollywood career, he seemed a bit nervous and expressed his concerns about her career choice. He had said, “Why would she want that for herself? Look at where she studied. After having done that, why wouldn’t she want to live and work in New York, rather than do this?” He had added that he wasn’t “looking down” but just concerned, like any other parent. “I am not looking down on acting, it’s just it is not the most stable profession. And  everyone lives in constant fear. And there is not guarantee that despite doing your best, you will succeed. This is not the life, any parent would want for their children,” he had said.

However, it seems these comments didn’t go really well with his ex-wife Amrita Singh. Reportedly, these comments fumed Amrita Singh (who is also the mother of Sara) so much that she personally called Saif and slammed him for these damaging comments. A source informed a daily publication and said, “She told him it was an irresponsible thing to say considering Sara is about to embark on a film career.” “Saif didn’t want to be dragged into an argument, so he mumbled that he was ‘quoted out of context’ and calmed down his former wife,” the insider added.

Interestingly, Saif Ali Khan tried cover up his previous statements in another press conference and said that his comments were taken out of context. He explained, “I love my daughter, support her and I think her choice is great. Of course, she is an actress, she belongs to a family of artistes, which is great, but I am still a little concerned for her as it is an unsure profession. Because I love her, I worry for her. That’s all I am saying. Is that clear? People write things like, ‘He doesn’t know what he is saying. He doesn’t know his mind.’ I find that annoying.

Well, the actor’s previous statements made absolute sense and weren’t damaging at all. Was this cover-up statement required or was Amrita’s decision to slam Saif was right?
