Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi Likely to Get Relief in 2022 Mumbai Drugs Case By Anti-Narcotics Cell

In a major development in the 2022 Mumbai drug supply case, actresses Shraddha Kapoor and Nora Fatehi are likely to receive relief, as their names may be dropped from the upcoming charge sheet. According to a report, the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has found no substantial evidence linking the actresses to the case. The investigation has now been completed, and officials are preparing to file a supplementary charge sheet.

Sources quoted in the report suggest that along with Shraddha and Nora, the names of Siddhanth Kapoor, Orhan Awatramani (popularly known as Orry), and Zeeshan Siddique will also be excluded due to lack of evidence. A source stated that while an initial charge sheet had already been filed against three individuals, the upcoming supplementary charge sheet will focus only on two arrested accused and one absconding suspect.

“We do not currently possess sufficient evidence to link these celebrities to the case,” the source added. Following the report, Orry took to Instagram to express his reaction. Sharing a screenshot of the news article on his Stories, he questioned those who had earlier criticized him. He wrote, “Where have all those jealous people gone who sensationalized this news and tarnished my image for weeks?, a clear indication of his frustration over the earlier allegations.

The case dates back to 2022, when Mumbai Police arrested alleged drug peddler Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh. Authorities recovered mephedrone (MD) worth ₹1.19 lakh from his possession. During interrogation, Shaikh allegedly claimed he supplied drugs at high-profile rave parties attended by celebrities in Mumbai and Dubai. He also named several public figures, including Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi, Siddhanth Kapoor, Orry, and Zeeshan Siddique, among others.

In 2025, the ANC reportedly questioned some of these celebrities as part of the ongoing investigation. If the supplementary charge sheet is filed without their names, it would effectively clear Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi, and others of any direct legal involvement in the case—at least based on the current evidence.
