Sobhita Dhulipala Opens Up About Her Marriage to Naga Chaitanya
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter India, Sobhita Dhulipala reflected on her past statement that she would “never date an actor.” She humorously acknowledged how her views had changed over time. Looking back, the actress admitted that firm declarations often come from limited perspectives and experiences that shape our thinking at different stages of life.
“I think I was… we do evolve, don’t we? And also I think I was stereotyping it at that point. Maybe because that’s what I saw around me… So yeah, that was probably me being narrow of that definition at that time,” she stated. She further emphasised that adapting and changing one’s opinion is a natural part of personal maturity, “It’s like how people who never change their opinions are more scared of them. I’m okay with having different opinions at different points of time; I’m okay with myself adapting.”
Sobhita shared a deeper understanding of love, explaining that romance goes beyond traditional definitions and formal relationships. For her, love is a more personal and internal experience. “When I think of love, right, at the cost of sounding a little self-absorbed maybe, I don’t think love is a relationship. Love is like a state of mind. You know, it’s like a vibration. It sounds a little woo-woo, but I don’t think only like romantic love when I think of love. I’m always feeling love with life at large.”
Sobhita Dhulipala on Handling Media Scrutiny and Public Curiosity
As an introvert dealing with increased public attention on her personal life and high-profile marriage to Naga Chaitanya, Sobhita shared her views on handling media scrutiny and public gossip. She compared society’s comments to unpredictable weather, offering a practical perspective on managing attention and staying grounded amid constant public discussion. “Society has weather, you know? It’s like weather, it comes and goes. And if you over-identify with the weather, you’re going to be lost when the weather changes. I think it’s important to be centered in who I am and be with my eyes open to what the reality is. You’ve got to be centered, and I think that’s a choice you make.”
