The case, which has now reached a civil court, has sparked significant attention, with both sides presenting sharply opposing claims. According to a report by Press Trust of India, complainant Chandrakant Balu Shinde and his mother Kamalbai have alleged that the celebrity couple illegally grabbed over their ancestral land in Ukasan village, located in Maval taluka near Pune.

Sonali Bendre Accused of Land Fraud

The petition claims that the Shinde family has been cultivating the land as protected tenants since the 1940s. However, their names were allegedly removed from revenue records in the 1980s without prior notice. The duo further alleged that Sonali Bendre and Goldie Behl, along with laborers and heavy machinery, entered the land on December 14, 2025, and began construction without permission. They also accused the couple of issuing threats in a mafia-style manner and misusing local police support.

As per court filings, the disputed land was reportedly sold to a local buyer in 2012 and later partially transferred to Goldie Behl in March 2021. The complainants have termed these transactions illegal and invalid, arguing that their tenancy rights were never lawfully terminated. The case has been filed in a Vadgaon Maval civil court through advocate Vanraj Shinde, and the next hearing is scheduled for April 24.

Responding to the accusations, Sonali Bendre has strongly denied any wrongdoing. She clarified that her name does not appear in any land purchase documents related to the property in question. Her legal counsel, Raju Shinde, dismissed the case as fabricated and claimed it was an attempt to extort money from the actress and her husband. He added that the matter will be contested in court.

The complaint also raises serious concerns about alleged police involvement. The Shinde family claims that officers present at the site failed to intervene and instead warned them against harassing the couple, threatening false cases if they persisted. With serious allegations and counterclaims from both sides, the case is expected to unfold further in court. The upcoming hearing on April 24 will be crucial in determining the direction of this legal battle.
