Sonu Nigam Is Back In Tinsel Town; Read On To Know Why!

Famous Bollywood singer, Sonu Nigam is back in the tinsel town. Recently, he was spotted by the paparazzi at the Mumbai airport along with his friend, Amit Wadhwani. He currently has his base in Dubai, where his son is receiving his school education has got fewer opportunities to be back in India in the last two years because of COVID restrictions.

As the news goes, Sonu Nigam’s name had been announced in January by the President of India for the prestigious Padma Shri Award. He has a long career of 25 years in the film industry and his contribution to Hindi cinema is immense.

Sonu was received by the fans and the paparazzi at the airport. He was seen wearing a white jacket with a white t-shirt and trousers. Fans were seen taking selfies with him. Later the singer left the airport in a Jeep, driving it on his own. His friend Amit accompanied him.

The fans are delighted to see their favourite singer back in the town. Numerous congratulatory messages have been sent to him on various micro-blogging sites. Along with Sonu, veteran actor Victor Banerjee and filmmaker Chandraprakash Diwedi will also receive the Padma awards.

As for Sonu Nigam, he had made a mark in the early 1990s with stage shows which later made him find his place in the film industry. Also a recipient of the National Award, the singer has sung over 5000 songs in varied languages.

The Padma awards are the highest civilian awards in the country conferred by the Government of India and the awards are announced annually on the eve of Republic Day.
