Suraj Nambiar Breaks Silence On Mouni Roy Divorce Rumours: ‘No Third Party, No Dispute, No Alimony’

Businessman Suraj Nambiar has finally addressed the intense speculation surrounding his separation from actor Mouni Roy, firmly denying rumours of infidelity, legal disputes or financial conflict between the two.

Amid weeks of online gossip and sensational reports around their marriage, Suraj issued a strong clarification stating that there was “no third party involved,” no ugly fallout and no alimony battle between him and Mouni.

The businessman’s statement comes days after Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar officially confirmed their separation after four years of marriage. The couple had earlier shared a joint note requesting privacy while criticising what they called “fictitious narratives” and “blatant falsehoods” surrounding their personal lives.

Now, Suraj has directly responded to the growing rumours that emerged after social media users noticed the couple unfollowing each other on Instagram and removing shared photographs from their profiles.

Speaking about the speculation, Suraj reportedly said there was no cheating, betrayal or dramatic conflict behind their decision to separate. He emphasised that the marriage ended mutually and respectfully rather than because of any scandalous reason being circulated online.

“No third party. No dispute. No alimony,” Suraj clarified while dismissing rumours that had increasingly dragged other individuals into the conversation.

His comments appear to be a direct response to several viral claims circulating online over the past week. Some unverified reports had alleged that Suraj cheated on Mouni, while others speculated about financial disagreements or the involvement of a “third person” in the separation.

The rumours intensified further after actor Disha Patani reportedly unfollowed Suraj on Instagram, leading to widespread online speculation about tensions within the couple’s friend circle.

However, Suraj’s latest clarification suggests he wants to firmly shut down all such theories and move the focus away from sensationalism. According to reports, he also expressed disappointment over the way personal matters were being turned into public entertainment online.

Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar got married in January 2022 in Goa after dating for several years. Their wedding combined Bengali and Malayali traditions and became one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings of that year.

The couple had frequently shared affectionate photographs and vacation moments online over the years, becoming one of the entertainment industry’s most-followed celebrity pairs. Because of that image, the sudden social media changes immediately sparked speculation among fans.

Rumours about trouble in the marriage first surfaced when fans noticed that Mouni and Suraj had stopped appearing together publicly and were no longer interacting online the way they previously did. Reports also claimed that Suraj had deactivated his Instagram account for some time amid the speculation.

Before officially confirming the separation, Mouni had requested media outlets not to spread “false narratives” and asked for privacy during a difficult time.

The couple later released a joint statement acknowledging that they had decided to part ways after “thoughtful reflection on evolving personal priorities.” They added that they were handling the transition privately and amicably.

Despite the statement, online speculation continued to grow, especially across gossip pages and fan communities. Some reports even suggested the couple had been living separately for months before making the announcement public.

Suraj’s latest remarks now appear aimed at ending those rumours once and for all. By specifically denying third-party involvement, disputes and alimony demands, he attempted to counter the increasingly dramatic narratives being attached to the separation online.

The episode also reflects how celebrity relationships are increasingly scrutinised through social media behaviour. Unfollows, deleted photographs and reduced online interaction often become triggers for widespread speculation long before official confirmation emerges.

Many fans online reacted sympathetically to Suraj’s statement, with some urging social media users to stop treating celebrity divorces as entertainment. Others praised the couple for maintaining dignity and avoiding public mudslinging despite intense public attention.

At the same time, the situation has reopened broader discussions around privacy in celebrity culture. Public figures today often face enormous pressure to explain personal decisions, especially when social media allows fans to closely monitor every online action.

Professionally, Mouni Roy continues to remain active in films and streaming projects. She was recently seen in The Bhootnii and is currently working on David Dhawan’s upcoming comedy Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai alongside Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur.

Suraj Nambiar, meanwhile, has largely maintained a low public profile despite being married to one of television and Bollywood’s most recognisable stars. A Dubai-based entrepreneur originally from Bengaluru, he has worked in finance and investment sectors for several years.
