After Kangana Ranaut’s remarks on nepotism against Karan Johar, it has been the most talked about and controversial topic from quite a long time now. While a few have called it out, star kids have outright denied and many think it is okay! Joining the row to express her opinion on this hot debate is Pink actress Taapsee Pannu.

During a promotional event for Naam Shabana when she was asked to comment on Kangana”s nepotism comment, she admitted that it persists but also added that it is not strong enough to end one’s career.

Speaking her heart out in a media interaction, she said, ” I am a proud outsider, nobody forced me to come into the industry. I was aware of the nepotism that exists in the industry and even then, I decided to be a part of it. I don’t like playing the victim card.” Well, that was certainly a dig on Kangana for Karan Johar had earlier used the same term for Kangana and had said Kangana needs to stop using victim card.

“You might lose out on some projects because of nepotism, but something else will come your way. You can’t keep blaming nepotism for not getting work. I wasn’t even passionate about acting and probably, that worked in my favour because I didn’t see films as the be all and end all of my life. You will get your fair share of work despite having no connections in the industry and I am the living example of that. It is a game and nepotism is part of it. Play your outsider card if you have to”, she continued again taking a sly dig at Kangana. Taapsee also named a few directors who happily work with new comers and outsiders like Shoojit Sarcar and Neeraj Pandey.
