By the age of 20, she had already become a mother to her daughter Zianne. But her decision came at a heavy price as she faced strong opposition and was reportedly boycotted by her Parsi community, even being denied entry into the Fire Temple. Tanaaz once revealed in an interview with Siddharth Kannan that she was drawn to Farid Karim’s artistic personality, his acting, singing, and dedication to theatre. However, their marriage, which also had an 18-year age gap, eventually fell apart.

The divorce marked a difficult phase in her life, but it also became a turning point. Determined to rebuild her life, Tanaaz stepped into the world of acting. She made her Bollywood debut with Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, directed by Rakesh Roshan. In the film, she played the role of Neeta, sister to Ameesha Patel’s character. She went on to appear in several notable films such as Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, 36 China Town, Had Kar Di Aapne, and Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon.

On television, she became a familiar face through shows like Zabaan Sambhalke, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Swabhimaan, Shree, and Apna Time Bhi Aayega. Life gave Tanaaz another chance at love when she met Bakhtiyaar Irani on the sets of Gurukul. Their relationship faced initial resistance, mainly due to their age difference, Tanaaz being eight years older. However, with the support of Bakhtiyaar’s sister, Delnaaz Irani, the family eventually accepted their relationship.

The couple got married in 2007 and have since built a happy life together, raising two children along with Tanaaz’s daughter from her first marriage. Today, Tanaaz Irani is a proud mother of three and continues to inspire with her positivity and grace. Though she has taken a step back from acting in recent years, her journey remains a testament to courage, love, and second chances.
