Filmmaker Aditya Dhar recently revealed that he was initially hesitant to collaborate with renowned prosthetics and makeup artist Preetisheel Singh for Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The director admitted that he had heard several opinions about her before meeting her, including claims that she was “arrogant” and “too expensive,” which made him reluctant to work with her.
However, Dhar shared that his perception changed completely after their first meeting. He emphasized that relying on industry gossip can be misleading and said that personal interactions often reveal the true character of a person.

In a heartfelt social media note, Dhar reflected on how quickly his assumptions fell apart once he met Singh. He described her as warm, grounded, and deeply committed to her craft, stressing that one should never form opinions based on hearsay.
He noted that working with her taught him an important lesson about trusting personal experiences over industry rumours and appreciating the people who truly contribute to a film’s vision.
Praises Her Dedication and Passion
Dhar praised Singh not only for her artistic excellence but also for her dedication on set. According to him, she and her team worked tirelessly, often surviving on just a few hours of sleep to perfect character looks and prosthetics for the film.
He revealed that Singh’s team created over a hundred character designs across both parts of the Dhurandhar franchise and helped transform thousands of junior artists through detailed prosthetic work and makeup, ensuring every character looked authentic and believable.
A Strong Bond Beyond Work
The director also spoke about the emotional bond they built during the project, calling Singh like family and recalling the long conversations, shared laughter, and creative discussions they had on set.
He credited her constant encouragement and positive energy for helping him push through the challenges of making such a large-scale film, adding that her commitment and belief in the project made a lasting impact on him.
