Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is set to hit screens on March 19, with its first tease arriving on January 8, coinciding with Yash’s 40th birthday. Building anticipation, the makers recently unveiled Kiara Advani’s first look poster, officially beginning the countdown to the much-awaited tease. Kiara marks her debut in Kannada cinema with this film, where she stars opposite Yash as a character named Nadia. Ahead of the teaser launch, reports suggest that Nadia belongs to the visually rich world of Cirque Du Soleil, adding intrigue to her role and promising a unique, imaginative dimension to the film’s narrative that captivates audiences and expands the story’s emotional scope.

The first look showed Kiara at centre stage, wearing a black thigh-slit gown. The initial glimpse of Toxic will unveil deeper insights into every character. The project marks Kiara’s second film following the birth of her daughter, Saraayah Malhotra, generating strong curiosity among audiences worldwide upon its official announcement.

Kiara Advani’s Role Inspired by a French Circus

According to sources, the makers of Toxic brought international artistes to India for a Cirque du Soleil–inspired act, collaborating closely with Kiara. They designed and rehearsed the performance to create visuals never before seen in Indian cinema, elevating it to global standards and delivering a truly immersive, large-scale cinematic experience, the source added, while aiming for unprecedented artistic spectacle worldwide. “Kiara’s character is said to be fearless, raw and intoxicating, blending grace, strength and intensity, making her screen presence powerful in the film.”

What exactly is Cirque du Soleil?

Cirque du Soleil is a globally renowned contemporary circus company from Canada, celebrated for transforming the traditional circus. Founded in 1984 in Quebec by street performers, it presents a unique style emphasizing human performance, storytelling, dance, costumes, and imaginative stage design. Rather than isolated acts, productions deliver a theatrical, immersive experience, blending elements of circus, ballet, opera, and fantasy, creating memorable shows that inspire audiences worldwide across diverse cultures globally.

Toxic has been shot simultaneously in English and Kannada, with dubbed versions set to release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several other languages. Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19. The cast includes Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi, and Sudev Nair.

On the work front, Bollywood actress Kiara Advani was last seen in War 2. Around the time of the film’s release, she welcomed a baby girl. Due to her pregnancy and childbirth, Kiara did not take part in the movie’s promotions and later took a break from acting.
