Actor Trisha Krishnan has returned to social media with a series of cryptic posts days after DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin’s controversial remarks involving her sparked widespread backlash. Although Trisha did not directly name anyone or refer to the controversy, her posts have led many social media users to believe that she was indirectly responding to the row.

Trisha shared an Instagram Story featuring a post that read, “Drama at this age is embarrassing… Go make some money and find peace.” She also shared another message that said, “What a privilege it is to be overwhelmed by a life you once prayed for.” The timing of the posts, coming shortly after the controversy involving Udhayanidhi, has prompted speculation about whether the messages were aimed at the political leader or others who have commented on her personal life.

The actor had remained silent after Udhayanidhi’s controversial remarks at a public gathering in Thanjavur on August 3. The DMK leader was discussing the Cauvery water issue when some people in the audience reportedly shouted Trisha’s name. Udhayanidhi responded with a statement that many interpreted as a double entendre involving the actor and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay. He subsequently maintained that he was referring only to the Cauvery water issue and denied making any reference to Trisha.

The remarks nevertheless triggered a major controversy, with several political leaders and members of the film industry criticising Udhayanidhi. The DMK leader was later arrested by Thanjavur police in connection with the controversy and was subsequently granted station bail after questioning.

Trisha’s latest posts mark her first apparent public response to the episode. Rather than addressing Udhayanidhi or the controversy directly, she chose to share messages focused on avoiding unnecessary drama, finding peace and concentrating on one’s own life.

The actor also shared a post that appeared to address the wider speculation surrounding her personal life. The message advised people to work out, take care of themselves, make money, be kind and, most importantly, “mind your business”. Trisha added her own caption, “Last one, best one,” seemingly indicating that the final piece of advice resonated most with her.

The post also comes amid renewed speculation about Trisha’s alleged association with Vijay. AIADMK leader RB Udhayakumar had recently made a remark suggesting that Tamil Nadu was waiting to see when Vijay’s “beloved” Trisha would be appointed Deputy Chief Minister. That statement added another layer to the social media speculation surrounding the actor and the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.

Trisha’s mother, Uma Krishnan, also appeared to offer support through social media. Trisha reshared the post containing the advice about fitness, skincare, earning money and minding one’s own business, adding her own endorsement of the final point.

The controversy has therefore expanded beyond Udhayanidhi’s original remarks into a larger conversation involving politics, cinema and speculation about celebrities’ personal lives. Trisha has so far avoided directly naming anyone involved, leaving the interpretation of her posts to social media users.
