Varun Grover took to social media platform X to express his anger and frustration over the incident. In a strongly worded post, he wrote, “Mumbai is the most corrupt city in India, perhaps by a wide margin.” He further criticized the city’s infrastructure, saying, “India’s commercial capital has the worst roads. I’ve seen village roads in almost every Indian state in the last two years, and they’re better than this. This is poor urban planning.” His remarks quickly went viral and sparked debates online about corruption, urban planning, and public safety in Mumbai.

Bollywood actress Dia Mirza also reacted strongly to the incident, raising questions about the priorities of infrastructure development. She wrote on social media, “Which idea of infrastructure do you support? Infrastructure that kills, suffocates, and destroys health and life? Or infrastructure that cares for and values life?” Her comments received mixed reactions online, with many supporting her concerns about safety while others debated the challenges of rapid urban development.
