Veteran Actor Dilip Kumar Gets Hospitalised, Being Treated For Recurrent Pneumonia
Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, popularly known as the ‘Tragedy King of Bollywood’, who was recently ill, has been again admitted to the hospital last night (Sunday). The news was confirmed on the 95-year-old actor’s official Twitter account. The account is handled by his family friend Faisal Farooqui when the actor is not using it.

While further details are yet to be revealed, when the veteran actor was hospitalised earlier Saira Bano confirmed how he was recuperating from pneumonia and he was alright. She told PTI, “He is alright. He has come back from the hospital and is recuperating at home as he had two bouts of pneumonia. He is with his doctor and nursing staff. He is getting better by God’s grace.”
Dilip Kumar was in September admitted to Lilavati hospital with a chest infection and mild pneumonia. After spending days in the ICU, he was discharged. He has in the past also battled with respiratory issues.
We all know Dilip Kumar, whose real name is Muhammed Yusuf KhanYusu, for his memorable performances in classics like ‘Andaz’, ‘Aan’, ‘Madhumati’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, ‘Ganga Jamuna’, ‘Kranti’, ‘Karma’ and others. Kumar was last seen in 1998 film Qila. In 2015, Dilip Kumar was honoured with the Padma Vibhushan.
